It is pretty simple on how to cure golf hook. Please read and implement these set of tips, because
sooner or later, these tips on going to have you lower your score in no time. Your focus to cure golf hook is to swing from outside to in.
1. Loosen up on your grip - You may have a tendency to grip the club too tight. Rotate both hands simply around the grip and on target. The
clubface will become much tougher to close on impact which is a good thing. Try not to over rotate, and always remember when analysing technique,
testing is imperative. Always ensure to test this, before moving foward, unless you are sure that you have loosened up on your grip.
2. Position the ball a little forward in your stance - It is usually a generic aspect that people who slice the ball tend to play the forward
in their stance. Model them if you can. If you tend to hook, the outcome should come out a straight ball. Either hook or slice, your main focus
is to do the opposite. Moving the ball forward in your stance should get some things back on track.
3. Aim to the left (if left hande to the right) of the target - Begin with a solid and open stance to the target. This will put that clockwise
rotation on the ball that you are looking for. Broaden your stance a little bit, and swing along the line of your shoulders.
4. A great tip is to help your body to remember what the feeling is like to have a good swing plane try this drill! Set up on a
hill but facing down so the club head is below your feet and naturally swing the club you will find your swing plane will change
and hopefully stop that hook. This is very diffcult to hook the ball in the downhill position.. so practise this
drill and get the feeling.
5. Ensure always that you finish the swing with your weight on your front foot - To cure golf hook, this is the number one solution. If you
tend to hook the ball, You are most likely going to end up with your weight on your back foot. you also end up coming around with a closed
clubface. This is the number one reason why you hook. Always finish with your weight forward, I guarantee that you will lower your golf
score.
